The O&P Foundation along with generous support from the American Board of Certification for Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC) to offer a scholarship to honor the legacy of Chester Haddan to support individuals pursuing a clinical Master's degree in orthotics and prosthetics (O&P). The Chester Haddan Scholarship includes a $2,500 cash award. One Chester Haddan Scholarship is given annually to a deserving O&P master’s program student.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student in a CAAHEP-accredited O&P master's program and display leadership qualities.
Instructions
Create an account in the O&P Foundation Application Portal, then select the “Chester Haddan Scholarship” program application and follow portal instructions.
Obtain an official or unofficial transcript (that includes the current academic semester) from your institution
Official transcripts are not required; however, unofficial transcripts must be signed by the Program Director or Faculty Advisor.
Transcript must include cumulative O&P Technician Program GPA.
Obtain a letter of recommendation from someone who can speak to your leadership attributes.
The letter of recommendation should indicate why the applicant is a strong candidate for the Chester Haddan Scholarship
- Create a video to demonstrate professional presentation and communication.
The video should be 2-3 minutes and should demonstrate your leadership, innovation, self-awareness, and/or collaboration, as well as discuss your goals for future leadership within the O&P profession.
Prepare resume
Resume should include information regarding education, work experience, volunteer activities, honors, and awards.
